APA places the year in parentheses after the author. MLA puts the title in quotation marks and places the year after the source. Chicago italicizes the title in the generated text. Harvard places the year directly after the author. Each template appends a URL when one is supplied.
Empty author, title, year, or source fields receive explicit fallbacks: Unknown author, Untitled work, n.d., and Unknown source. A blank URL contributes no trailing link.
Check the chosen style, field order, punctuation, and whether the URL belongs in your assignment. A well-formatted string can still contain inaccurate source data.
